In this sense, the objective of this research is to analyze how indigenous people evaluate their active participation in history teaching and how they see themselves through the stories that are portrayed in the classroom. In this work, the following researches were carried out, bibliographical, documentary and field research, where data were collected through interviews with the teacher of the Francisca Juruna school and with the chief of the TI Boa vista km30 of Vitória do Xingu, Juruna community. The results obtained show that the indigenous people want a more representative education, oriented to value the culture and history of the indigenous people, thus seeking improvements in indigenous school education. O ensino da História indígena pela Lei n.11.645 de 2008 se tornou obrigatório no currículo de educação básica de todo país, portanto observamos que nos livros didáticos ainda existem muitas abordagens eurocêntricas no sentido da história indígena, especialmente nos conceitos identidade, cultura e tradição. Neste sentido o objetivo desta pesquisa é analisar como os indígenas avaliam sua participação ativa no ensino de história e como se veem através das histórias que são retratadas em sala de aula. Neste trabalho foram realizadas as seguintes pesquisas, bibliográficas, documental e pesquisa de campo, onde foram coletados dados por meio de entrevistas com a docente da escola Francisca Juruna e com o cacique da TI Boa vista km30 de vitória do Xingu, comunidade Juruna.
