The normative instruction Nº. 01/2022 of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies of the Federal University of Pará, which regulates the TCC activities, made available the expansion of the range of activities accepted for the evaluation of course conclusion works, seeking to reduce the negative impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic in the student scenario. Experimental practices in chemistry teaching are essential for students' education, as they enable the visualization of the studied phenomena, contact with the production of science in its basic essence and streamline the teaching-learning process. However, such a didactic-methodological proposition is not always used as a teaching method due to the limitation of materials for its realization, lack of its own space (laboratory), minimal spatial conditions in the classroom, especially when the school does not have a laboratory, resistance of teachers in diversifying teaching work, among other factors. That said, the present research was carried out within the scope of the Mandatory Supervised Internship being carried out with the use of experimental teaching practice using alternative materials to address the content of Chemical Reactions, the intention was to analyze the acceptance of the classes and the assimilation of the subjects addressed to the students in the 1st year of high school at the State School of Elementary and Secondary Education Journalist Rômulo Maiorana. The research was divided into three moments, the first being theoretical classes, the second experimental classes and the third application of a questionnaire. As a result, it was observed that the students positively received the experimental classes, and that they would participate in more classes with this methodology. Analyzing that despite the lack of materials and reagents, satisfactory results were obtained, the classes became more attractive and the students more motivated. About this, it is concluded that this research made it possible to verify the difficulties experienced by the research students, as well as possible solutions. |
