This work aims to analyze the activities developed in the municipal library of Abaetetuba-PA, using knowledge management as a reference. Thus, it seeks to find out how the activities are carried out and how they can be improved using knowledge management, since by using knowledge management, quality and efficiency in the services offered is gained. In the construction of the work, the methodology used consisted of an approach to the theoretical foundations of knowledge management, in order to identify and assess the essential points of the activity, avoiding unnecessary activities, objectively aligning the activity processes, to increase the focus on the library user, as well as the application of a questionnaire to employees, through the digital platform Google forms, which made it possible to obtain the reality of the organization, practices and directions of the library. Thus, it was identified that the municipal public library Miguelina Bitencourt lacks a systematic organization in its practices based on knowledge management.
