The purpose of this study was to evaluate the functional physical structure of
municipal schools located in the State of Pará. This is a crosssectional, quantitative
and descriptive analytical study, which data collection was carried out from March
2017 to September 2018, with a total of 52 municipal schools in the State of Pará, 26
located in the urban zone and the other 26 located schools in the rural zone of 13
municipalities in the various geographical regions of the State of Pará. The
information was collected through the application of an adapted semi-structured form,
type check-list. The date of the verification form were organized and tabulated by
using Microsoft Office, Excel 2010, Microsoft Windows, where the descriptive
analysis for the figures subsidy was adopted. The data showed that most municipal
schools presented inadequacies regarding physical structure in aspects of
environment, integrated control of vectors and urban pests, waste management
(garbage), water supply, food reception, storage of nonperishable food and storage
of frozen foods. The Municipal Meal Production Units only partially complied with the
legal requirements, since the level of nonconformity found configures a higher
percentage of items analyzed, thus not guaranteeing the desired safety for the quality
of food offered in municipal schools. |
