It seeks to know how this academic library has appropriated Web 2.0 tools not only in the provision of information products and services, but also in the construction of virtual relationships with users. It analyzes the experience of this library in the use of social media. It uses data obtained from the library profile on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, complemented by semi-structured interviews. It verifies that with the use of the social media the BC broadens its relations with the users in the Internet. It suggests the elaboration of an information policy for social media for the best use of Web 2.0. Pesquisa sobre a Biblioteca Central Prof. Dr. Clodoaldo Beckmann no contexto da Web 2.0. Busca saber como essa biblioteca universitária tem se apropriado das ferramentas da Web 2.0 não somente na oferta de produtos e serviços de informação, mas também na construção de relações virtuais com os usuários. Analisa a experiência dessa biblioteca no uso das mídias sociais. Utiliza dados obtidos do perfil da biblioteca no Facebook, Twitter e Instagram, complementados por entrevistas semiestruturadas. Verifica que com o uso das mídias sociais a BC amplia suas relações com os usuários na Internet.
