Resumo:
This work presents a Maximum Power Point Tracking technique for a photovoltaic system (MPPT). The perturb and observe (P&O) method was the technique chosen to carry out the simulations of a photovoltaic array with the aid of a Boost-type DC-DC converter. During the work, the curve of current versus voltage I ×V and voltage versus power P ×V was plotted for our system, which has three series connected in parallel, and each series has two modules connected. This plot is necessary for locating the maximum power points. In addition, all the necessary mathematical modeling was carried out to obtain the control loop of the system, thus obtaining the proportional and integral gain values for the two PI-type controllers. Finally, the technique was subjected to two different scenarios in order to test the effectiveness of the trigger. For the first scenario, an irradiance curve was generated interspersing the values, while for the second scenario, the irradiance curve used real samples captured in the city of Bras´ılia-DF during a sunny day. All work was performed by simulations performed in MatLab/Simulink software. For all scenarios, the technique presented totally satisfactory results, that is, it was able to track the maximum power point, making the photovoltaic system always work with its extreme efficiency.
