The following research aims to reflect about the image of the amazonian pierced by visual observation from the art direction. Visual film elements allow the dissemination and construction / replication of cultural identities of societies and theme of the story that is reported. Express themselves about their place of speech has been more present in Latin American’s productions, thus, revealing and rethinking of their own languages and identities, previously dominated by the direct influence of colonialism. Today there are still the chains with which we are familiar without notice, but the position is changing by the voice taking, reinventing our own language and aesthetics. Thus, by analizing three contemporary short films of Pará, we intend to understand the view that the amazonian has of itself and how it pierces on the screen. Os acontecimentos históricos e as expressões culturais possuem sólidos vínculos, a arte é um destes pontos nos quais essa proximidade é percebida. A seguinte pesquisa busca refletir acerca da imagem dos amazônidas transpassada pelo audiovisual a partir da observação da direção de arte. Os elementos fílmicos visuais permitem a divulgação e construção/ reprodução de identidades culturais das sociedades e temáticas da história que é contada. Expressar-se sobre seu lugar de fala tem sido mais presente no que tange à produções da América Latina, desta forma, descortinando um repensar das próprias linguagens e das identidades, anteriormente dominadas pelas mãos mais diretas do colonialismo. Hoje, restam as amarras com as quais somos familiarizados sem notar, mas que estão sendo retiradas pela tomada de voz, pela reinvenção da própria linguagem e estética.
