College students have risk factors for developing anxiety disorders, which can affect their
everyday life and academic performance. The main treatments for anxiety are the use of
pharmacological drugs and psychotherapy sessions, as an alternative to complement these
treatments, Auriculotherapy stands out, a lowcost alternative practice without side
effects, which is based on Traditional Chinese Medicine and school French by Nogier.
This research is an integrative literature review and aims to analyze scientific evidence
available in the national literature on the application of Auriculotherapy in the treatment
of anxiety in university students. A literature search was carried out in the SciELO, VHL,
LILACS and PUBMED databases. We chose to include the Google Scholar database in
the search due to having found few results. From this, taking into account the inclusion
and exclusion criteria, 6 articles became part of the research sample that, after
categorizing the articles, took into account two themes: "Auriculotherapy associated with
other Integrative and Complementary Practices in Health" and “Different
Auriculotherapy Protocol for Anxiety”. It is concluded that auriculotherapy is beneficial
for the relief of anxiety symptoms, as well as for the promotion of health and well-being
of university students. |
