This work presents the architectural design of a gym for the city of Belém, in the state
of Pará. The architectural solution is presented in the design development phase and has four
conventional gymnastics designs as reference, which were analyzed as aspects of the building
program, sectorization, circulation, ambient scales and materials used. The project is based on
a feasibility study, which includes: examining the characteristics of the land plot; verification
of legal constraints applied to the lot and the building; the analysis of the climate characteristics
of Belém, indicating appropriate bioclimatic strategies for the site; the elaboration of the
building program; the dimensioning of the spaces; and the development of the architectural
parti. This work aims to systematize the knowledge about the elaboration of architectural
projects of gyms, serving to assist in the development of designs of this type.
