The objective of this research is to identify and analyze the main learning difficulties in mathematics in Elementary School faced by Mathematics teachers in the municipality of Capanema/PA, and to propose a pedagogical strategy to overcome these difficulties. The predominantly qualitative methodology with a bibliographical review to reflect on the studies and theories related to learning Mathematics at this level of education, a questionnaire was answered in the Google Forms.app application, containing 20 open questions that offered the Mathematics teacher to use their words to answer the questions. Based on the literature review and data analysis, teachers cited alternative teaching methods, differentiated teaching resources or training programs for teachers to provide improvements in teaching and learning in mathematics. As a result, we hope that the proposed pedagogical strategy developed can help teachers in teaching Mathematics, improving student learning and promoting a more effective teaching in this discipline. A aprendizagem da Matemática é fundamental para o desenvolvimento cognitivo dos alunos no ensino fundamental, sendo uma disciplina que muitas vezes apresenta desafios tanto para os estudantes quanto para os professores. O objetivo desta pesquisa é para identificar e analisar as principais dificuldades de aprendizagem na matemática no Ensino Fundamental enfrentadas pelos professores de Matemática no município de Capanema/PA, e propor uma estratégia pedagógica para superar essas dificuldades. A metodologia predominantemente qualitativa com revisão bibliográfica para refletir sobre os estudos e teorias relacionadas à aprendizagem da Matemática nesse nível de ensino, foi respondido um questionário no aplicativo Google Forms.app, contendo 20 perguntas abertas que ofereceram ao professor de Matemática usar de suas palavras para responder as questões. Com base na revisão bibliográfica e na análise dos dados, os professores citaram métodos de ensino alternativos, recursos didáticos diferenciados ou programas de formação para os professores para proporcionar melhorias no ensino e na aprendizagem em matemática.
