For that, we searched in printed newspapers, internet sites, blog and YouTube, information that dealt with the band Djavu in its “conflict” with the paraense music scene. Methodologically, the speeches of these sources were treated in the light of Cultural History, as well as from a critical position regarding oral reports, given that the point of confluence of the aforementioned sources revolves around orality. In addition, theoretically, the concept of “Hybrid Cultures” was worked on, which served as a guide to situate tecnobrega as a product in a constant process of hybridization, so that it would become clear that its definition as an “original” product would be wrong, but it would not mean something negative. O presente trabalho procura evidenciar como o sucesso da banda baiana de tecnobrega (Djavú & DJ Juninho Portugal), durante os anos de 2008 a 2011, foi visto dentro do território paraense, sobretudo no que tange a discursos da imprensa local e de artistas do tecnobrega da região e, da mesma forma, como a emergência da banda propiciou um processo de valoração do tecnobrega no Pará. Para tanto, buscou-se em jornais impressos, sites de internet, blog e YouTube, informações que tratassem acerca da banda Djavú em seu “conflito” com o cenário musical paraense. Metodologicamente, os discursos dessas fontes foram tratados à luz da História Cultural, bem como, também, a partir de um posicionamento crítico atinente aos relatos orais, haja vista que o ponto de confluência das fontes supracitadas gira em torno da oralidade.
