Resumo:
The acute disease virus infects the severe virus of the family Paramyxoviridae of the acute and severe character of the family Paramyviridae of the genus. In 2016, Brazil received from the World Health Organization (WHO) the certificate of circulation of the measles vaccine with the help of the viral vaccine (TV), achieving a vaccination coverage) of 95%. In 2018, the country underwent the reintroduction of measles into the population through the D8 genotype, which has been circulating in Venezuela since 2017. The objective of this work is to analyze the vaccination coverage and the incidence of measles in the Northern Region of Brazil in the year 2018. of a cross-sectional, quantitative study with epidemiological and descriptive interest. The data used refer to the incidence of measles in the population living in the territory in the states of the Northern Region of Brazil, in the year 2018. The number of confirmed cases of measles in the Northern region, in the period studied, in its totality was 10,050 cases. The age groups that followed with the highest number of cases are similar to the pattern of the North region, with 2,451 people (24.99%) between 20 and 29 years old, 2075 cases (21.15%) between 15 and 19 years old and 1699 cases (17.32%) under one year. Although vaccination coverage at the national level is satisfactory, especially for immunizers such as BCG, there is still heterogeneity in vaccine coverage, as well as in access to vaccination between different regions and states, revealing that there is a portion of the population unassisted. In addition, a review article that aimed to list the causes related to the drop in immunization and the influence of such factors over the years, highlighted an increasingly common scenario in which there is vaccine refusal by those responsible for children aged 0 to 5 years. It was found that in the period studied, the increase in the incidence of measles in the North region during the year 2018 is related to the low values of vaccine coverage of the Triple Viral and Tetra viral.
