In addition, the study also addresses the triangulation of surfaces and the Euler characteristic of a triangulation and connected sums of surfaces. Este trabalho visa explorar a característica de Euler de poliedros, superfícies e somas conexas de superfícies. Será apresentado, inicialmente, a demonstração do teorema de Euler para poliedros convexos devida ao matemático Adrien-Marie Legendre. Em seguida, discute-se o conceito de superfície regular e apresentamos os exemplos da Esfera e do Toro.
