Having bibliographical research as a methodological indicator, this writing sought to highlight the importance of local culture through the appreciation of the memory of the inhabitants of the Municipality of Abaetetuba/PA, indicating Cachaça as a “place of memory”. As a theoretical foundation, Silva and Silva (2009), Bittencourt (2004) and Nora (2012) were mainly used, who postulate in their works about the historical turn and the influence of this event on the work of historians. As final considerations, the article emphasizes the traditionalist view regarding the teaching of history in schools, which is something negative, since the records of historical events are told by great characters and only their deeds are shown, therefore, the importance and necessity of valuing memory and local culture, in order to keep alive the history that surrounds and collaborates for the construction of the citizen of Abbaetetubo, in addition to pointing to na eminent professional deconstruction that aims at na opening for the insertion of new methodological procedures for the teaching the discipline of History. O presente artigo aborda a temática do ensino de História e suas metodologias, as quais segundo a escola dos Annales, são ferramentas importantes que auxiliam o educador. Tendo como indicador metodológico a pesquisa bibliográfica, a presente escrita procurou evidenciar a importância da cultura local por meio da valorização da memória dos habitantes do Município de Abaetetuba/PA, indicando a Cachaça como um “lugar de memória”. Como fundamentação teórica, utilizou-se principalmente Silva e Silva (2009), Bittencourt (2004) e Nora (2012) que postulam em suas obras a respeito da virada histórica e a influência desse acontecimento no trabalho dos historiadores. Como considerações finais, o artigo ressalta a visão tradicionalista quanto ao ensino de história nas escolas, sendo algo negativo, uma vez que os registros dos acontecimentos históricos são contados pelos grandes personagens e são mostrados somente os feitos dos mesmos, portanto, evidencia-se a importância e necessidade da valorização da memória e da cultura local, afim de manter viva a história que cerca e colabora para a construção do cidadão abaetetubense, além de apontar para uma eminente desconstrução profissional que almeja uma abertura para a inserção de novos procedimentos metodológicos para o ensino da disciplina de História. 2023-09-21T18:48:22Z 2023-09-21T18:48:22Z 2023-07-06 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação - Artigo FERREIRA, Erick Fernando Figueiredo.
