In order to show the adequate archival environment, bringing with it quality of
life, health and safety to the professionals working in the File System of the
Federal University of Pará, this work aimsat the analysis of the perception of
these workers on the subject, revealing the present they are directly linked to
the typesofactivities they carry out, as well as the taking of preventive measures
in order to eliminate the risksexisting in this environment. It takes an approach
on the importance that the Government and the society dispense to the
archives, and the necessity of the recognition and valuation of these
professionals. It is based on legislation, laws, regulations and ordinances
related to health, safety, rights and duties. This research is characterized as
descriptive, bibliographical and also a case study, bringing with it quantitative
and qualitative approaches to data analysis. It concludes by showing the
importance of the theme, the perception that archival professionals have and
the suggestion of seeking more often the conquest of an adequate environment
and also, perhaps, a deservedaid of insalubrity.
