Resumo:
The interest for the present theme was based on the observations made in the curricular internship field of the Social Work course of the University of Para/ UFPA in Social Assistance Reference Center (CRAS), in the Alto neighborhood, in the municipality of Moju. Has the objective of demonstrating the importance of the benefit of continuing care (BPC) for elderly people seeking this support in the municipality, analyzing the need for BPC for the elderly and what impacts this benefit causes on the improvement of the condition of life of this group. The problematization of the topic of this research consists of answering the following question: What are the impacts of the Continuous Benefit – BPC on the elderly person’s living conditions, after receiving the benefit? For the development of this Term Paper, was done the bibliographical research and field research with data collection and application of questionnaires to the elderly beneficiaries of the BPC of the municipality of Moju, specifically in CRAS-Alto, equivalent to 3% of the total beneficiaries, which corresponds to 10 people interviewed, in CRAS-Alto, Moju-PA. After such procedures, a study was carried out identifying the socioeconomic and cultural profile of the elderly, as well as the factors that impede or hinder the access of the elderly to a condition of life with quality and access to the necessary information of existing social programs. The study revealed that the main results are that in the municipality of Moju-PA there are 400 to 600 elderly beneficiaries of the Continuous Benefit Benefit (BPC). In addition, the importance of BPC in the life of the elderly was verified, because 100% reported that without this benefit, they could never be able to contribute financially to the sustenance of their family or to the sustenance itself, since they have no other means of subsistence.
