This course completion work has as its evaluation of the reading practice of the 8th and 9th grade classes. Therefore, this work aimed to investigate the reading proficiency of these students and the strategies used by the teacher to encourage this practice. The research was carried out at the Cristo Rei School in Primavera community in municipality of Porto de Moz-PA, it is a pole school. For the development of the work, ethnographic research was adopted, with the application of a questionnaire with the classes and an interview wiht the teacher. In addition, observations were made in the classroom of both parties. At the end of this work, the importance of working on reading in the classroom was shown; moreover, the importance of reading assessment as a teaching process for the development of the act of reading was highlighted. |
