This present work addresses a theme that puts the school library on the agenda. It concerns the law 12.244/2010 that talks about the Universalization of libraries with determination for its execution up to the year 2020. With the specific objectives of explaining the historical aspects of the school library in Brazil starting from the arrival of the Jesuits to Brazil in order to understand their influences and characteristics left to the school library, describing and commenting on each paragraph of Law in order to raise the issues involved in its fulfillment, to explain the process of adaptation in which school libraries will have throughout the period to That the Law enters into force, from the professional society and school community.. It presents the Law with the intention of bringing knowledge and understanding within its assignments, disclosed/displayed in each paragraph. It raises the question of the responsabilities in supervising and collecting the applicability of the Law and which mechanics are being elaborated until the end term so that the Law is accomplished in an absolute way. It displays results from the visits to public and private schools with data surveys that generate the understanding of the functionality and reality of the school library. With presentation in graphs that bring percentages from the questionnaires applied regarding the activities, materials, frequency and concepts of the students in the libraries of their schools. It becomes the approach of this subject of extreme relevance in the contribution in making visible the Brazilian school library. |
