We noticed during the research that teachers are aware of the importance of literary practice in the classroom. We believe that the expected results were achieved because it is understood that literature must be present early in the experience of students, thereby facilitating the practice of reading and writing in literacy and literacy process. O presente trabalho de conclusão de curso tem como tema Literatura Infantil: Alfabetização e Letramento e foi realizado na Escola de Ensino Fundamental “São Francisco Xavier”, busca responder ao problema de como a Literatura Infantil pode contribuir no Processo de Leitura dos alunos das turmas dos 1º e 2º anos do Ensino Fundamental desta instituição de ensino, verificando de que maneira os professores trabalham o processo ensino aprendizagem da escrita e leitura, tendo como teóricos Magda Soares, Isabel Solé, Juracy Assmann Saraiva, entre outros. Percebemos ao longo da pesquisa que os professores têm conhecimento da importância da prática literária nas aulas.
