We sought an in-depth study of the characteristic aspects of speech, valuing cultural, social, economic and ethnic factors. Based on these elements, we seek to build an approach to the lexicon of these fishermen, focusing on language, reality, social disparities and contrasts in the forms of linguistic expression, seeking theoretical support in theories that study the specificities of language, such as Sociolinguistics, Dialectology, Lexicon, Linguistic Prejudice and Linguistic Variation, respectively. These theories share the same context, giving the fishermen's language the possibility of creating their own linguistic reality in a society in which language transformations are in constant processes of transformation. This study was carried out through field research that favored data collection so that we could understand with greater relevance the lexicon of these fishermen in focus here. O presente trabalho tem por objetivo promover um estudo sobre a linguagem dos pescadores da comunidade Arauaia, localizada no município de Barcarena-PA, ressaltando a variação linguística destes, em especial o léxico. Buscamos um estudo aprofundado dos aspectos característicos da fala, valorizando os fatores culturais, sociais, econômicos e étnicos. A partir desses elementos buscamos construir uma abordagem do léxico desses pescadores, privilegiando a língua, a realidade, as disparidades sociais e os contrastes nas formas de expressão lingüística, buscando um suporte teórico em teorias que estudam as especificidades da língua, tais como a Sociolinguística, a Dialetologia, o Léxico, O preconceito Linguístico e Variação Linguística, respectivamente. Essas teorias um mesmo contexto conferem à linguagem dos pescadores, a possibilidade de criar a sua própria realidade linguística em uma sociedade na qual as transformações na língua estão em constantes processos de transformações.
