Resumo:
This work aimed to analyze the socio-territorial impacts caused by agro-industrial and mining enterprises in the quilombola territory of Jambuaçu, Moju-PA, using geoprocessing technologies. We sought to emphasize situations of agrarian conflicts, since the 1970s, caused by the invasion of the companies Reforestamento Sociedade Anônima - REASA, Marborges Agroindústria S/A, Companhia Vale do Rio Doce - CVRD, Imerys Rio Capim Caulim, Norsk Hydro and Mineração Paragominas S.A. as well as the territorial losses that Jambuaçu leaders suffered during this period. The theoretical discussion focuses on concepts related to the research object that support data analysis. The research methodology included document analysis, dialogues with leaders who led resistance during these conflicts, observation of daily life, classification of satellite images, field research to georeference through GPS the areas of the impacted communities and the easement area of where the projects are located. To process the georeferenced data, geoprocessing technologies were used to produce maps based on the classification of Landsat satellite images, TM and OLI sensors. We sought to answer the following problem; How did agro-industrial and mining enterprises impact the Quilombola Territory of Jambuaçu with territorial losses? In this way, the research results demonstrated the occurrence of land conflicts, with the expansion of the areas of interest of large companies overlapping the community territorial limits, dissemination of conflicts between community members, resulting in the achievement of the ideals of local sustainability.
