Resumo:
The objective of this work is to analyze the effect of alternative materials on subfloor mortars, which will be used in partial replacement of binder and natural aggregate. Civil construction waste (RCC) is a waste generated in large quantities in civil construction works and its recycling and reuse can bring environmental and economic benefits. The partial replacement of conventional aggregates by RCC aggregates can be a sustainable alternative for the production of subfloor mortars. In this work, the physical-mechanical characteristics of subfloor mortar with different proportions of replacement of aggregates by RCC were evaluated. The tests carried out were mortar density in the fresh state; mass density in the hardened state; consistency index; total and capillary water absorption; capillarity coefficient; void indexes; specific mass and tensile strength in bending and compression. The results show that the partial replacement of binder and natural aggregate by alternative materials provides an increase in the mechanical performance of the subfloor mortar, consolidating the question about the technical feasibility of using RCC in this type of technology.
