Oliveira (2022a, 2022b) established an approach to mathematical modeling activities focused on mathematical practices, called diplomodeling. As a result of this establishment, the process to arrive at the mathematical model based on mathematical practices identified with cultural practices can be guided by the following stages: performed practice, sociotechnical description, problem elaboration, mathematical figurations, configuration of the diplomodel and socialization of immutable furniture. Thus, this approach mobilizes the models to the school environment to provide a place for intercultural diplomatic dialogues, that is, where these models do not exercise hegemony over each other. The objective is to establish a diplomodel based on the practice of riverine timber extraction in a locality in the municipality of Melgaço-Pará. For this, non-participant observation and non-participant interviews were used. This diplomamodel was established with the purpose of being presented in teacher training courses so that they become aware of the existence of other mathematics, other than academic mathematics. |
