This work aimed to discuss and historical chronology of environmental impacts. The type of research of this work is a bibliographic and documentary research. First, data and sources were collected, articles, periodicals, master's dissertations and doctoral theses were searched, as well as official documents from public agencies, especially the Instituto Evandro Chagas and the Policia Civil- Divisão Especializada em Meio ambiente e Proteção Animal (DEMAPA). After that, a reference bank was set up; and then there was a reading, analysis and discussion of the data; later the composition of the written text. The making of the maps was carried out through ArcCatalog and ArcMap and Corel Draw 2020. Thus, over 16 years of data collection, 13 environmental accidents were found. The media punctuated in the middle were described in this work in which the risks of the municipality were identified as being a drainage environment, through an alteration of the geochemical background of the rivers. It is also stated that the health of the population is vulnerable due to environmental impacts. The problem of environmental and environmental impacts caused by miningmetallurgical activities in the industrial complex of Barcarena- Pará 2003 to 2018 related to the repetitive cycle of risk and vulnerability to the environment. O município de Barcarena encontra-se na porção nordeste do estado do Pará e se limita ao norte pela Baía de Guajará e município de Belém, ao sul pelos municípios de Mojú e Abaetetuba, a leste pelo município de Acará e, a oeste, pela Baía do Marajó, na parte sudoeste se localiza as principais mineradoras atuantes: Imerys e Hydro. Este Trabalho objetivou discorrer e historiar a cronologia dos impactos ambientais causados pela atividades minero-metalúrgicas no complexo industrial de Barcarena- Pará entre 2003 a 2018, dessa forma identificar os danos ao meio ambiente e propor uma discussão. O tipo de pesquisa deste trabalho é a pesquisa bibliográfica e documental. Primeiramente, foi feito a coleta de dados e fontes, buscou-se artigos, periódicos, dissertações de mestrado e teses de doutorado, também documentos oficiais de órgãos públicos, sobretudo do Instituto Evandro Chagas e a Polícia Civil- Divisão Especializada em Meio-Ambiente e Proteção Animal (DEMAPA). Após se montou um banco de referências; e então ocorreu a leitura, a análise e interpretação e discussão dos dados; posteriormente a composição do texto escrito. A confecção dos mapas que foi realizada através ArcCatalog e ArcMap e Corel Draw 2020. Assim, ao longo de 16 anos de levantamento de dados foram constatados 13 acidentes ambientais. Os riscos ao meio ambiente foram pontuados e descritos nesse trabalho em que se constatou que a rede de drenagem do município é extremamente afetada, por isso é notado a alteração do background geoquímico dos rios. Também, se afirma que a saúde da população é vunerável decorrente dos impactos ambientais gerados.
