We conducted quantitative research, using a questionnaire as the investigation tool, consisting of 14 multiple-choice questions directed to the head of the household. The community profile is composed of 94% females and 6% males. All respondents stated that they use medicinal plants for healing purposes, and only 3% do not have them in their homes. A total of 73 different species were mentioned, with the family Lamiaceae standing out at 15%, and the most mentioned and used plant by the interviewees is the boldo (Plectranthus barbatus Andr; Lamiaceae) at 27%, followed by aloe vera (Alloe vera L. Burm. f; Liliaceae) mentioned by 22%. The research highlighted that the community possesses extensive knowledge regarding medicinal plants and utilizes them as the primary options for basic healthcare. The information on the effectiveness of the plants is mainly transmitted through family culture, orally passed down from generation to generation among community members. O estudo objetivou realizar um levantamento etnobotânico sobre o conhecimento e uso das plantas medicinais na comunidade de Inacha (Nossa Senhora de Nazaré) na zona rural do Baixo Tocantins. Realizamos uma pesquisa quantitativa, sendo usado como instrumento de investigação um questionário contendo 14 perguntas de múltipla escolha direcionado ao chefe de família. O perfil do chefe de família da comunidade é de 94% do sexo feminino e 6% do sexo masculino. Todos afirmaram fazer uso das plantas medicinais para fins curativos e apenas 3% não possuem as mesmas em suas casas. Foram citadas 73 espécies diferentes, tendo como destaque a família Lamiaceae com 35% e como planta mais citada e também mais usada pelos entrevistados estão o boldo (Plectranthus barbatus Andr; Lamiaceae) com 27% seguido da babosa (Alloe vera L. Burm. f; Liliaceae) citada 22%. Durante a pesquisa evidenciou-se que a comunidade tem vasto conhecimento em relação as plantas medicinais e fazem uso destas como primeiras opções aos cuidados básicos com a saúde.
