This study explains the influence of Fakes News on the vaccine that fights Covid-19 in students
at UFPA - Campus Cametá. Communication and information technologies directly favored the
expansion of fraudulent content about the covid-19 vaccine, which affected the progress of
immunization of some individuals, causing greater problems for society. Thus, this study aims
to discuss how the proliferation of Fake News affected vaccination programs and what is the
consequence of this conduct for public health in the municipality of Cametá/PA. The research
has as its guiding question: how can Fakes News about Covid-19 vaccines disrupt immunization
programs in the municipality of Cametá-PA? The study is exploratory-descriptive, quantitative,
with use in its questionnaire application procedures. The research subjects were 70 students,
from the municipalities of Cametá, Baião, Limoeiro do Ajuru and Belém do Pará, and belong
to seven undergraduate courses with admission from 2016 to 2022. The results reveal that, with
the spread of false news about the COVID-19 vaccine, people started to refuse the immunizer
by using inappropriate therapeutic procedures or preventive measures, which ranged from the
use of homemade teas to the administration of chloroquine/hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin
and ivermectin. |
