The principles of information security, the types of attacks, the consequences of attacks, prevention measures and existing laws that deal with the issue in Brazil are highlighted. Os avanços tecnológicos e a utilização crescente da Internet (particularmente das redes sociais) através de dispositivos móveis como tablets e smartphones têm tornado os ataques cibernéticos cada vez mais comuns na era digital. Baseado nisso, O presente artigo tem como ênfase mostrar a respeito do contexto dos ataques cibernéticos no Brasil.
