Marahú Beach, on Mosqueiro Island, is characterized as estuarine beach being subject to morphological changes according to the seasonal characteristics of the region. The objective of this work was to analyze the morphosedimentary variation and the vulnerability to coastal erosion in the east and west sectors of the beach, during the tides of equinoctial syzygium (09/30/2016) and quadrature (09/11/2016), trying to find out if the effects of erosion and / or deposition of sediment remain continuous during the less rainy season of the Amazon, even in the change of the state of the tide during a lunar cycle. The methodology consisted of: (1) acquisition of topographic data through beach profiles; (2) sampling of surface sediments; (3) laboratory analysis of sediments for granulometric separation; and (4) processing of the data obtained in situ and in the laboratory through the software Grapher, Surfer, Sysgran and Excel. The results show that the beach of Marahú, during the equinoctial tidal wave of the September campaign, presented a incremental phase, with higher sedimentary volume in the beaches profiles, and predominance of average sand in both sectors. During the study period the erosive phase occurred during the quadrature tide, in the November campaign, considered as a transition month for the rainiest period. The proximity to this more erosive period may have resulted in the loss of sedimentary volume from the beach from September to November. There is an increase in the occurrence of thick sediments in this last month and a decrease in fines. The beach of Marahú presented morphodynamic classification of beach intermediate to reflective, according to the sector and period analyzed, since it is marked by promontories and rocky pontoons at its extremities, as well as rocky outcrops in some profiles and this ends up influencing the morphology, hydrodynamics and local sediment transport. As praias estuarinas são depósitos intermareais de areia, cascalho ou lama localizados às margens de estuários. A Praia do Marahú, na Ilha de Mosqueiro, é caracterizada como praia estuarina estando sujeita a alterações morfológicas de acordo com as características sazonais da região. O objetivo deste trabalho foi analisar a variação morfossedimentar e a vulnerabilidade à erosão costeira nos setores leste e oeste da praia, durante as marés de sizígia equinocial (30/09/2016) e de quadratura (09/11/2016), buscando averiguar se os efeitos da erosão e/ou deposição de sedimentos se mantêm contínuos durante a estação menos chuvosa amazônica, mesmo na mudança do estado da maré durante um ciclo lunar. A metodologia consistiu em: (1) aquisição de dados topográficos através de perfis praias; (2) amostragem de sedimentos superficiais; (3) análise laboratorial dos sedimentos para a separação granulométrica; e (4) processamento dos dados obtidos in situ e em laboratório por meio dos softwares Grapher, Surfer, Sysgran e Excel. Os resultados mostram que a praia do Marahú, durante a maré equinocial de sizígia da campanha de setembro, apresentou uma fase acrescional, com maior volume sedimentar nos perfis praias, e predominância de areia média em ambos os setores. Durante o período de estudo a fase erosiva ocorreu durante a maré de quadratura, na campanha de novembro, considerado como um mês de transição para o período mais chuvoso. A proximidade com este período mais erosivo pode ter resultado na perda de volume sedimentar da praia de setembro para novembro. Havendo aumento na ocorrência de sedimentos grossos neste último mês e diminuição dos finos. A praia do Marahú apresentou classificação morfodinâmica de praia intermediaria a reflexiva, de acordo com o setor e período analisado, uma vez que é marcada por promontórios e pontões rochosos nas suas extremidades, bem como afloramentos rochosos em alguns perfis e isso acaba influenciando a morfologia, a hidrodinâmica e transporte sedimentar local. 2018-11-28T12:46:33Z 2018-11-28T12:46:33Z 2017-09-06 Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso - Graduação RAMOS, Carolina Costa.
