Resumo:
Pollution in coastal areas by oil spills and derivatives occurs for leaks in ships and ports. The entry of oil on sandy beaches it’s dependent on several factors, such as, substrate permeability, granulometric of sediments characteristics, physical properties of the fluid and depth of the water table. The goal of this research is evaluate the permeability and the diferences in the percolation of hydrocarbon derivatives at the sedimentary portion in Caripi beach (Barcarena - PA), according to climatic seasonality. Topographic profiles were performed, even as, near-surface profiling with Ground-Penetrating Radar, surface sediments sampling and sampling vibracore, and permeability test. The Caripi beach is classified as estuarine beach, reflective to intermediate, composed by sandy sediments with fine to medium granulometry, subangled to angular grains; the water table changing between 1 m (more rainy) and 2,2 m (less rainy). In the less rainy period, gas presented higher rate of infiltration in the backshore and foreshore, while diesel oil had higher rate of infiltration in the more rainy period. The granulometry of sediments had a variation with climatic seasonality, and the morphoscopy was constant in the studied zone. In september, in the foreshore sector, the diesel oil showed anomalous coefficient of permeability. The gas permeability of coefficient has always been higher at the backshore all months studied. The water table in Caripi beach becomes more vulnerable to contamination by spills of hydrocarbon derivatives in the more rainy.
