Through explanatory bibliographical research, it identifies guidelines that can contribute to the confrontation, affecting the bases of slavery in the state. It characterizes governance as participatory land management, which aims at sustainable social and economic development, with the Guidelines aimed at promoting and guaranteeing tenure, equitable access to land and natural resources. It concludes that the guidelines can help in the fight against slave labor in the Amazon region. Analisa as Diretrizes Voluntárias para a Governança Responsável da Terra, dos Recursos Pesqueiros e Florestais no contexto da Segurança Alimentar, para identificar se estas podem auxiliar no combate ao trabalho escravo no Pará. Através da pesquisa bibliográfica explicativa, identifica diretrizes que podem contribuir no enfrentamento, afetando as bases da escravidão no estado. Caracteriza a governança como gestão participativa da terra, que visa ao desenvolvimento social e econômico sustentável, sendo as Diretrizes voltadas à promoção e garantia da posse, do acesso equitativo à terra e recursos naturais. Conclui que as diretrizes podem auxiliar no combate ao trabalho escravo na região amazônica. MESQUITA, V. J. C.
