Thus, we seek to answer the following research problem: What elements can be observed in the training process of the building technician that manifest signs of ecological literacy? To this end, we take Capra's precepts on ecological literacy as a reference, having as an institutional context of the research, the integrated high school technical course offered by IFAM. We follow the qualitative research and use questionnaires with open and closed questions, as well as documentary analysis, to identify evidence of ecological literacy among 22 students enrolled in the 3rd year of that course. After analyzing the built data, we found that there are elements that indicate a basic level of ecological literacy among students, however, there is some confusion between basic concepts related to Ecology. It was also possible to verify that, in the legal documents that guide the analyzed course, the formation of the building technician and the Basic Education as a whole, shows the necessity and importance of addressing the environmental issues in the formative process, as a way to life. sustainable. With this research, we hope to enable further discussions and reflections on the importance of ecological literacy for the building technician. : O estudo aqui apresentado surgiu diante da crise ambiental que temos vivenciado; consideramos que a compreensão deste processo de crise, bem como dos elementos que podem a vir a minimizá-las, é de fundamental importância para todos os profissionais, mas, especialmente, para àqueles que trabalham na construção civil, tendo em vista os impactos causados na construção das obras. Assim, buscamos responder ao seguinte problema de pesquisa: Quais elementos podem ser observados no processo formativo do técnico em Edificações que manifestam indícios de alfabetização ecológica? Para tanto, tomamos por referência os preceitos de Capra sobre a alfabetização ecológica tendo, como contexto institucional da pesquisa, o curso técnico nível médio em Edificações, forma integrada, oferecido pelo IFAM. Pautamo-nos na pesquisa qualitativa e utilizamos questionários com perguntas abertas e fechadas, além de análise documental, para identificarmos indícios de alfabetização ecológica dentre 22 alunos matriculados no 3º ano do referido curso. Após a análise dos dados construídos, verificamos que há elementos que indicam um nível básico de alfabetização ecológica dentre os estudantes havendo, entretanto, alguma confusão entre conceitos básicos relativos à Ecologia. Também foi possível verificarmos que, nos documentos legais que norteiam o curso analisado, a formação do técnico em Edificações e a Educação Básica como um todo, consta a necessidade e importância de se abordar as questões ambientais no processo formativo, como um caminho para a vida sustentável.
