Resumo:
On a global scale, we can see that society in general is increasingly connected, whether for the need for information, leisure, education, or work. Many are the ways to navigate the waves of cyberspace, the means that allow this connection are widespread, whether through cables or simply through the air. Wireless communication has been expanding and filling gaps that were once in evidence, gaps that allow the emergence of new technologies. The theme motivates us to research ways to test the range and quality of service of the data transfer rate of LI-FI technology, along this journey it will be possible to better understand the applications of this technology, which has a range of possibilities. Thus, the Li-Fi networks using simply light instead of radio frequency signals to make the data transmission, are able to enable the use of this technology in various environments, so the VLC can be used more safely. Examples are applications in aircraft, medical devices and hospital units where Wi-Fi is restricted, or even underwater. The methodology applied in this research was based on a bibliographic review, carried out through research in scientific articles, electronic databases and specialized magazines in the area of telecommunications. After the search and selection of articles and literary documents, there was the tabulation of the information found means of Inclusion and Exclusion. Within this context, the development of a test system to validate the throughtput quality of service in LI-FI boards has a lot of relevance and helps in the better understanding of this phenomenon within a controlled environment (laboratory) that will allow a sunk study and better observation of the Visible Light Communication (VLC) technology.
