This work aimed to bring together the main works that have as object of study the breast cancer and find points of consensus, through the literature review. It was possible to observe that, despite different lines of studies, is suggested that the prevention of breast cancer is through spaying, and that associated care, such as proper dietary management and not using contraceptives reduce the risk of neoplastic development. A neoplasia mamária é o tipo mais frequente de neoplasia em cadelas, por esse motivo, o estudo sobre suas causas e fatores predisponentes tem se mostrado cada vez mais relevante para a profilaxia ser realizada de forma eficiente, já que há muitas controvérsias sobre o assunto. Este trabalho objetivou reunir os principais trabalhos que tiveram como objeto de estudo a neoplasia mamária e encontrar pontos de consenso, através da revisão bibliográfica.
