This project seeks to carry out the design of an alternative cooling system, where all the
components of a laboratory scale prototype of an adsorption cooling system using the activated
carbon and ethanol working pair will be dimensioned. The proposed system uses the principle
of a four-motor engine to replace the compressor used in conventional air conditioning
equipment by steam compression. Therefore, its operation does not depend on electrical energy,
as it uses solar energy and uses refrigerant with low environmental impact. In the search for
better performance, a new reactor will be designed, by increasing the contact area and reducing
the thermal inertia of the reactor. Thus, with the making of this system, it will be possible to
obtain a result compatible with the state of the art of models with the same technical
characteristics and operating conditions. |
