The standardization of processess allows the reduction of the time of a task, agility in
internal procedures and improvement in internal production efficiency. Thus,
performing a process taking into account the continuous improvement of do the
performance of the machinery contributes to the positive results obtained with the use
of a given machine. In this context, continuous improvement allows each process to
have thera best way to perform an activity, allowing it to be done in a shorter period
of time, preventing outages due to failures or unforeseen maintenance in a given
service. Thus, this work has as main objective, to present techniques that avoid the
unnecessary cost with technical training and waste of resources available in the
maintenance of equipment. In the methodological part, eandste work is a case study
using descripti vere search and direct observation on the functioning of machinery in
an earthmoving company in the city of Manaus- Amazonas. Visits and verification of
all flows and techniques practiced in the day-to-day of the organization were carried
out in the face of the maintenance of its machines. Data collection performed through
quantitative research, documentanalysis and direct observation, was intended to
score pontuar the frequencywithwhichthere is machineshutdowns for maintenance,
exchanges and adjustments, analyzing the possible losses compared with the variable
time as a waste of material and economic resources within the organization. The
results of the research discriminated that maintenance management has a great
importance, since it contributes to the quality of service to the customer, when a
company performs the maintenance of machinery it avoids losses of products /
services and quality in the face of failures and inoperability of the machinery.Finally,
itis possible that the research proposed and raised can corroborate current and future
studies, which can lead to a reduction in time and costs for various organizations.
