Over time, man has been developing and mastering technologies at different
stages of the evolution of science that has allowed various sources of energy to
be developed. The northern region of Brazil in particular, the state of Amazonas
(AM) has some peculiarities with regard to its regional integration with the rest of
the country. Thus, the configuration itself in the midst of the Amazon biome poses
a series of challenges for the state in terms of access to electricity. From this
context, the present work has as objective: to elaborate a maintenance plan in
the energy generating unit and to demonstrate its importance to the stability and
reliability of the electrical system. In methodological terms, a qualitative approach
was chosen, as it has a greater focus on understanding and explaining the facts,
as well as greater familiarity with the object of study. In general, the results
showed the importance of maintenance for the continuity of activities, especially
in a scenario of logistical difficulties as we are faced with the reality of Amazonas.
