This paper aims to describe the main concepts about Software Defined Radios, in order to gain a better understanding of this technology. And, for that were done research, analysis, what makes up an SDR (showing each element), and what constitutes LabVIEW. Also described is one of the applicability of SDR which is to make changes to the entire structure of the equipment without the need to modify the hardware, but only the graphical interface (in LabVIEW) or changing the program lines, SDR is a project that offers low implementation cost, reduced hardware, flexible system and etc. Its limitations are the processors, the Digital-Analog and Digital-Analog converters, the modules that make up your hardware (WIFI, frequency cap, etc.). Introducing the step-by-step creation of handling the NI USRP-2920 equipment as well as an FM Radio receiving circuit (demonstrating the application combining LabVIEW and the USRP platform). |
