Resumo:
This research aims to examine the representation of Journalism in the television series A Vida Alheia, displayed in 2010 by Rede Globo. Given the lack of studies on the representation of the journalist in television series, we present a brief overview of studies that analyze representations of this professional audiovisual products. The journalist is represented in many audiovisual media, such as movies, soap operas, TV series and recently in sketches available on the internet. According Nathale Kraetzig (2012), the journalist is perceived socially not only for his work but also through the way it is represented in audiovisual products made in the context of entertainment. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the means are representing media professionals. In this study, we sought to determine whether there are similarities in the representations created about the journalist in the various audiovisual media, as well as identify new features that can be attributed to this professional. Thus, we discuss the likelihood, based on the works that deal with the journalistic practice. For this, we will use as a methodology to film analysis proposed by André França (2002), we believe that the use of this method allows us to serve our analysis objectives.
