The present work had the objective of describing and analyzing the innovative initiatives in the aquaculture sector in Parintins / AM. Fish is an item on the Amazon table and Parintins is one of the state's main fish producers. The problem guiding this work is: to what extent have innovative initiatives in the aquaculture area been carried out in the municipality of Parintins? Thus, it is sought to understand the phenomenon of innovation in a socioeconomically important sector for the city. In order to meet this objective, we sought to: identify the market for the Parintinian fish, both internal and the sale to other municipalities; identify innovative initiatives in the aquaculture sector in literature and in practical cases; listing, describing and classifying identified initiatives; analyze the innovative initiatives in the aquaculture sector already identified in comparison to the reality of Parintinense. For that, a descriptive analytical research was conducted to identify and analyze the phenomenon of innovation undertaken in the aquaculture sector in Parintins. Interviews were carried out with researchers from the area, representatives from support organizations and a local entrepreneur from the aquaculture sector, and the results were analyzed using the content analysis technique. The results show that there is an incidence of innovative initiatives in the sector and that these are at an incremental stage of development in new products and processes. |
