Resumo:
The Reservoirs classified as unconventional are reserves of hydrocarbons that present particularities in exploitation, technology applying, rock characteristics and production time when compared to conventional reservoirs, but contain great volume of oil to be produced and, in the last years, are being explorated in a rather enocomic way. However, these particularities turn production quite complex, mainly at the technology that must be applied, yet having no great quantity of researches and scientific publications regarding this area, especially in Brazil. Therefore, this study has a purpose to make an analysis and comparison of unconventional reservoir potential in Amazonas & Paraná Basins with and without CO2 Injection. For such, the Computer Modelling Group (CMG) software was used in order to perform the simulations with an objective of obtaining 2D and 3D models at both formtions and the accumulated production curves along 10 years. At the curves one could observe more concentration of hydrocarbons at Amazonas basin and better production performance, when compared to the Paraná basin. However, it is important to mention that, at both cases, the best results were obtained using CO2 Injection. Yet other factors, such as environment laws and flow management, must be considered in order to evaluate the economically viable exploitation of these reserves.
