This is an offshoot of the Scientific Initiation Research conducted between 2018 and 2019, whose objective was to investigate the way black women / students from the Federal University of Amazonas - UFAM / IEAA are narrated about their identities and differences, taking into account However, gender issues, however, aim to investigate the access and permanence of black students in the IEAAA. The methodological aspects are supported by qualitative research in education (LUDQUE and ANDRÉ, 2013), with a view to the narrative interview (SILVEIRA, 2007). We highlight Woodward (2013), Queiroz (2004) Dantas (2012) and Silva (2013), among other authors who supported the theoretical discussions. The results show that, despite affirmative public policies, black students from the IEAA resist using this right to higher education, as this is a channel of access to the university, viewed socially in a prejudiced manner. By opting for broad competition in IEAA vacancies, these students show some resistance and empowerment of black women, allowing them to place themselves on a level playing field in their access to public higher education, narrated by them, as a source of pride. O Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso TCC, intitulado AAcesso e permanência de estudantes negras no IEAA encontra-se vinculado ao curso de Pedagogia no Instituto de Educação, Agricultura e Ambiente – IEAA/UFAM. Trata se de um desdobramento da Pesquisa de Iniciação Científica desenvolvida entre 2018 e 2019, cujo objetivo foi investigar a forma como se narram as mulheres/estudantes negras da Universidade Federal do Amazonas – UFAM/IEAA sobre suas identidades e diferenças, levando em consideração as questões de gênero, entretanto, o desdobramento em questão tem o objetivo de investigar o acesso e permanência das estudantes negras no IEAAA. Os aspectos metodológicos estão amparados na pesquisa qualitativa em educação (LUDQUE e ANDRÉ, 2013), com vistas na entrevista narrativa (SILVEIRA, 2007). Destacamos Woodward (2013), Queiroz (2004) Dantas (2012) e Silva (2013), entre outros autores e autoras que deram apoio para as discussões teóricas. Os resultados apontam que, apesar de existirem políticas públicas afirmativas, as estudantes negras do IEAA resistem em fazer uso desse direito ao acesso ao nível superior, por ser, este canal de acesso à universidade, visto socialmente de forma preconceituosa. Ao optarem pela concorrência ampla de vagas no IEAA, estas estudantes mostram certa resistência e empoderamento da mulher negra, permitindo que estas se coloquem em um patamar de igualdade no acesso ao curso superior público, narrado pelas mesmas, como motivo de orgulho. 5 Enviar para o e-mail um comprovante de que o trabalho depositado está no fluxo e que levará algumas horas para ficar disponível no RI.
