In this mode, the identification of your risk factors becomes important. Objectives: To raise the prevalence of urinary incontinence and identify the probable factors associated with university students from the interior of the Amazonas. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted with young university students aged between 18 and 30 years from the Institute of Health and Biotechnology ISB/UFAM. The International Inquiry Questionnaire - Short Form (ICIQ-SF) questionnaire was used to identify the type and severity of IU. A descriptive analysis was performed in SPSS 20.0. Results: This study included 74 young university women with a mean age of 22.09 (± 2.93) years. A prevalence of urinary incontinence of 37.85% (n = 28) was identified. Most participants (86.5%) are nulliparous and of these 54.05% (n = 40) have no symptoms of UI. Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI) was predominant in the study group (46.4%). As for the intensity of urinary loss, it should be noted that it was moderate (41.4%). Finally, regarding the associated factors, it was found that 35.7% of the university students who reported urinary loss were overweight, 35.7% engaged in physical activity, only 7.1% had some type of gynecological surgery and some associated comorbidity. Conclusion: This study identified a moderate prevalence of urinary incontinence among female college students, being one SUI or the most common type. However, none of the associated factors related to the literature reported correlation in this survey. Introdução: a incidência de Incontinência Urinária (IU) têm aumentado mundialmente entre mulheres jovens, evidenciando um significante problema de saúde pública. Deste modo, a identificação dos seus fatores de risco torna-se importante. Objetivos: levantar a prevalência da Incontinência Urinária e identificar os seus prováveis fatores associados em jovens universitárias do interior do Amazonas. Métodos: Estudo transversal do tipo descritivo, realizado com jovens universitárias com idade entre 18 a 30 anos do Instituto de Saúde e Biotecnologia ISB/UFAM. Utilizou-se o questionário International Consultation on Incontinence Questionnaire – Short Form (ICIQ-SF) pra identificação do tipo e severidade da IU. A análise descritiva foi realizada no SPSS 20.0. Resultados: Participaram deste estudo 74 mulheres jovens universitárias com média de idade 22,09 (±2,93) anos. Identificou-se a uma prevalência de Incontinência Urinária de 37,85% (n=28). A maioria das participantes (86,5%) é nulípara e dentre estas 54,05% (n=40) não apresentam sintomas de IU. A Incontinência Urinária de Esforço (IUE) foi predominante no grupo estudado (46,4%). Quanto à intensidade da perda urinária, observou-se que esta era moderada (41,4%). Por fim, quanto aos fatores associados, identificou-se que 35,7% das universitárias que relataram perda urinária estavam acima do peso, que 35,7% delas praticavam atividade física, apenas 7,1% realizaram algum tipo de cirurgia ginecológica e apresentavam alguma comorbidade associada. Conclusão: Neste estudo identificou-se prevalência moderada de incontinência urinária entre as universitárias, sendo a IUE o tipo mais comum.
