Resumo:
Due to the increasing advancement of BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology in Brazil in recent years, it is increasingly necessary to disseminate information about the topic, since the tool carries numerous advantages for the construction sector. The compatibility of projects is one of the main advantages of technology, so this study analyzes this resource in a case study in order to evaluate the BIM methodology in the compatibility of projects, where it can be concluded that the methodology offers a range of benefits for compatibility when compared to traditional methods, however, the care in the design process of each project must be thorough so as not to cause compatibility failures. The other approach of this manuscript is to diagnose the development of BIM in the room offices of Manaus-AM, where a questionnaire was conducted answered by eleven companies, in order to report the current market situation in relation to the methodology, evaluating the development, barriers to adoption, possible solutions and forecasts for the future of BIM technology in the Amazonas capital. It was found that although the offices already carry out projects using software BIM, still do not have broad mastery over the tool nor a well-defined workflow, it's evident the problems for the transition of the new technology, such as the lack of qualified professionals, but companies are aware of the need for change.
