Resumo:
Cucumber is an important vegetable crop in Brazil, in addition to being socially important for the generation of employment, it is also economically important for the income it can generate. In Amazonas, the production of this culture is low, and studies related to it are incipient, generating doubts as to the best way of implantation and which is the best hybrid for the region. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the adaptability of eight cucumber hybrids, analyzing important production factors and crop viability for the municipality of Humaitá, Amazonas. The work was carried out in an open field, in Humaitá, Amazonas, in a randomized block design, with eight different hybrids, these hybrids were cultivated in mulching and with application of fertigation to meet the nutritional needs. They were evaluated for productivity parameters such as number of total and marketable fruits, mass of total and marketable production and height, as well as root biomass parameter and soil physical attributes related to compaction. Data were submitted to Kolmogov-Smirnov statistical test and Tukey test at 5% significance, in addition to Pearson correlation test and multivariate analysis. After evaluating the data, it was possible to identify for the productivity attributes, the hybrids 2, 3 and 5 had the best average, these being from the Japanese group. Furthermore, for the soil attributes it was possible to identify a correlation between the gravimetric soil moisture and the root biomass, in addition, when an economic feasibility calculation was performed, the hybrids of the Japanese group were the only ones that did not show losses relating the cost of production and the value obtained in the commercialization.
