Resumo:
ABNT NBR 6123 is the standard that governs the calculation of wind in buildings, being fundamental for the design of structures. Wind analysis is extremely important because it produces different effects on different types of structural systems depending on geometry, location, among other factors. The need to calculate wind action is constant in structural engineering, and it is important to carry out studies aimed at collecting and updating normative parameters, having a better design of structures. The present work sought to generally study the static effect of wind action on structures that are not yet in the scope of NBR 6123, through simulation using a computer program, in order to obtain relevant data on the dynamic pressure of the wind. A study was also carried out on the isopleth map of Brazil through bibliographic references. It could be noted, with the modeling, that there was great practicality for determining the distribution of wind pressures along structures with any geometric shapes, analyzing their effects for purposes of structural projects. It was also noted that some foreign standards have a more detailed study of the wind, including structural systems that are not currently addressed in the brazilian standard, as well as values for meteorological events that were not so recurrent in Brazil at the time the standard was published.
