The present work results from the research carried out on how information and communication technologies help in the offer of products and services of the University Libraries of Manaus, in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. Of an exploratory and descriptive nature, its objective was to understand the use of information and communication technologies in the products and services offered by libraries. And in order to achieve this objective, it was necessary to identify which information and communication technologies were used by university libraries, in the context of the pandemic; and point out the advantages and benefits of using these technologies in library services and products. As for the methodological procedures, in addition to the bibliographic research, information was also collected through a form, applied to a sample of four university libraries, and these data were collected for the period from June 2020 to June 2021, where the libraries spent by adapting to the pandemic context. As for the results obtained, at the end of the research, the technologies used by libraries in the pandemic context and the availability of databases, digital libraries and repositories were found to be the main technologies used in the provision of services and products; and according to the information obtained, the use of these technologies and others was an essential service, mainly due to the flexibility of the tools that are found in the digital environment. |
