This study aimed to analyze entrepreneurship in the wholesale beverage trade and its influences on the economy of the municipality of Parintins-AM in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. To this end, the following specific objectives were outlined: 1) To show how the wholesale beverage trade in Parintins reacted to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and its economic consequences; 2) Discuss the importance of entrepreneurship in facing the economic crisis arising from the pandemic based on the reality of the wholesale beverage trade in Parintins; 3) Highlight the difficulties in finding qualified professionals to work in the Beverage Wholesale Trade. This is an Exploratory Research, with a Qualitative focus, having as a universe of investigation two (02) stores of the wholesale liquor trade in Parintins-AM. The following data collection instruments were used: Semi-structured interview containing 06 questions answered by the owners or manager of the establishment, and Participatory Observation. The collected results show that entrepreneurship in the beverage wholesale trade directly and indirectly affected the economic bases of the municipality of Parintins-AM in the face of the pandemic scenario, impelling the subjects of this research to reinvent themselves based on changes in sales habits. such as the implementation of delivery. They had to change the organizational structure of their companies, but they also suffered casualties, as did the vast majority of entrepreneurs in other commercial sectors. |
