OBJECTIVES: To verify the self-reported comorbidities of elderly people who practice regular physical activity in the interior of Amazonas and to analyze social isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic. MATERIALS AND METHODS: This is a longitudinal study, with the first assessment in March 2019 to March 2020 and the reassessment from January to February 2021 during the Covid-19 pandemic. RESULTS: 63 elderly people were evaluated, most of them female, illiterate, retired and presenting visual deficits. The main self-reported comorbidities were visual impairment, osteoarticular diseases, osteoporosis, gastrointestinal diseases and diabetes. CONCLUSION: Even with the impacts of social isolation during the pandemic, there was a reduction in self-reported comorbidities by the elderly. |
