This research under the theme: the work of recyclable material collectors: study of the cootepla cooperative in Manacapuru-am, the study is important from the economic, social and environmental perspective, due to the importance and how these professionals need social visibility, so that their rights are met. The same had as general objective: To evaluate the role of the collector of recyclable materials within the productive chain of Cooperativa Cootepla, from the economic, social and environmental perspective. The exploratory descriptive methodology of qualitative approach was used, due to the importance of the professional in the local and global spheres, the respective study analyzed the importance of public policies linked to the socio-environmental issues of solid waste, strictly the cooperatives and associations of collectors. Based on the result, it was possible to verify that the working conditions are precarious, there are no partnerships with outsourced workers, much less with the city hall. They work on their own and in an unhealthy way, without any support from the State. In this way, the Payment for Environmental Services policy proved to be applicable at the moment8 when it aims to include the collector in all spheres as any citizen and professional conforms to labor standards.
