In the sections, an approach to the university library was presented within the context of assistive technology. Next, a comment was made on the relationship between the university library and digital culture and the training of teachers and librarians in the 21st century. Thus, the research began, from the mapping of existing products and services in university libraries and, consequently, the execution of the process of identification of inclusive practices for the use of assistive technology. It was investigated how assistive technology can help the work of the librarian. In this perspective, it was about the insertion of actions in the planning for the application of adequate treatments. For this study, a bibliographic research was used, in a qualitative approach, about the accessibility of resources for the use of AT in the reference service of personalized care for PwD. Based on the results, an intensification of continuing education was proposed for work groups, as well as for users with disabilities on adaptive resources; and, the creation of an accessibility policy for the use of assistive technologies within the scope of university libraries. The evaluation of these results became possible from the collaboration (via the online form) of librarians from the libraries of the following federal public institutions: UFAM, UNIFESP, UFF, UFFS, UFMA, UFC, UFSC and UFPE Este estudo tem como objetivo propor a implementação de recursos no uso da tecnologia assistiva (TA) com o intuito de tornar os produtos e serviços oferecidos pelas bibliotecas universitárias mais acessíveis e inclusivos às pessoas com deficiência. Nas seções, apresentou-se uma abordagem sobre biblioteca universitária dentro do cenário da tecnologia assistiva. Na sequência, fez-se um comentário sobre a relação da biblioteca universitária com a cultura digital e a formação de docentes e bibliotecários no século XXI. Assim, deu-se iniciou à pesquisa, a partir do mapeamento dos produtos e serviços existentes nas bibliotecas universitárias e, consequentemente, à execução do processo de identificação das práticas inclusivas para o uso da tecnologia assistiva. Investigou-se de que forma a tecnologia assistiva pode auxiliar no trabalho do bibliotecário. Nessa perspectiva, tratou-se sobre a inserção das ações no planejamento para aplicação de tratativas adequadas. Para esse estudo, foi utilizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica, numa abordagem qualitativa, acerca da acessibilidade de recursos para o uso de TA no serviço de referência de atendimento personalizado à pessoa com deficiência (PcD). Baseado nos resultados, propôs-se uma intensificação da formação continuada para os grupos de trabalho, bem como para os usuários com deficiência sobre os recursos adaptativos e a criação da política de acessibilidade para o uso de tecnologias assistivas no âmbito das bibliotecas universitárias.
